Title IA
Title IA ensures all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on Maine Learning Results.
MSAD 75 uses these dollars to fund literacy and math intervention teachers and several educational technicians at Bowdoin Central School, Bowdoinham Community School, Harpswell Community School, and Woodside Elementary School offering targeted instruction to qualifying students.
Money is also used to support professional development as well as purchase materials to support the learning needs of individual students. Additionally, Title IA funds fund summer sessions for teacher-referred students in need of continued support.
MSAD 75 is seeking parents and community members for membership on a Parent Advisory Committee to meet annually, review the Title IA policy, and seek input needed to help extend and reinforce your child’s learning experiences. The committee also review the Parent/School Compacts. If you would like to join this committee, please call Amanda Hersey, Assistant Superintendent at (207) 729-9961 or email at [email protected].
Title IIA
Title IIA “Improving Teacher Quality” funds help to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping school districts ensure that all teachers are highly qualified to teach.
